Nominated for an Academy Award in 1949 for Best Actress, Barbara Stanwyck stars as Leona Stevenson in the suspense classic Sorry, Wrong Number. A rich heiress with a strained marriage to her trophy husband (Burt Lancaster, The Unforgiven) Leona is confined to her bed and communicates mainly by telephone. One fateful night while trying to make a phone call, Leona overhears some men plotting what she later realizes could be her own murder. With her husband unexpectedly out of town for the weekend, the days become increasingly terrifying and the suspense mounts as Leona lies helpless and petrified in her bed, fearing her own death and her inability to stop it.
